Browsers
by Paul Myers
Most PC owners use Microsoft's
browser Internet Explorer, but there are a few alternatives offering
different interfaces, functions and experiences.
If you want to use a new browser on
your office computer, you may have to contact IT support, but here
are some possible alternative browsers for your home computer.
Firefox

My personal favourite,
Firefox offers probably the best variety of "Add-ons". The
portable version of Firefox can be easily installed
(even on a flash drive).

Chrome

If your computer groans under
the weight of the programs running, you may want to consider
installing Chrome. Created by Google, this is a simple
browser that runs fast and doesn't use many system
resources.

Safari

Safari was developed for
the Apple Mac, but will also be familiar to iPhone and
iPad users. People wanting the Mac Safari experience on
their PC can download the program
here. |
Opera
http://www.opera.com/
Like
Chrome, Opera runs fast and has its own unique add-ons.
Many users enjoy surfing the web with Opera and it loads
pages quickly and frees up their computer's memory for
other programs.
