Journalists use MySpace to find massacre witnesses.

As this story unfolds, information is very thin on the ground. Both Journalists and students at Virginia Tech are making practical use of social network site MySpace.

Students are using the site, which has a 3,000+ member Virginia Tech Alumni message board,  to check up on friends and express consolation and share experiences of the shooting incident.

Journalists are also using MySpace to find witnesses.
